The Institute for Molecular Science (ICMol) of the University of Valencia was founded in 2000 with the mission of establishing in Valencia a centre of excellence in Molecular Science and Nanoscience.

Located at the Scientific Park of the University of Valencia, the ICMol is formed by ca. 100 researchers and produces most of the high impact research papers of the Univ. of Valencia in Chemistry. In fact, according to the ISIEssential Sciences Indicators data, in Chemistry the Univ. of Valencia is placed among the 50 best Universities on a world scale.

The Institute, with a surface of ca. 3000 m2, is equipped for performing top research in chemistry and, in general, in molecular science.
